SLASH On 'Comedy Central Roast Of Charlie Sheen'; Preview Clip Available

Legendary guitarist Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) made a special guest appearance at the "Comedy Central Roast Of Charlie Sheen" that will air September 19 on the cable network. During the program, which was taped this past weekend, the former "Two And A Half Men" star entered the stage while sitting on a train with Slash shredding on a guitar. Commented Slash: "The Charlie Sheen roast was an fn' excellent time. Everybody was great. Mike Tyson was in rare form. Stoked to have been part of it."

Other participants in the roast included comedians Jon Lovitz, Patrice O'Neal, Amy Schumer, Jeffrey Ross and Anthony Jeselnik, former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson, and Steve-O from "Jackass". Seth MacFarlane from "Family Guy" served as Roastmaster.

Production on Charlie Sheen's sitcom "Two And A Half Men" was put on hold earlier in the year following a series of scandals in his private life and his public rants against the show's creator, Chuck Lorre.

In an interview with Australia's long-running rock station Triple M during his tour with the Soundwave 2011 rock festival in March, Slash spoke about the troubles his neighbor Charlie Sheen was facing at the time.

"I love Charlie," Slash smiled. "Charlie is probably the most rock 'n' roll character in entertainment today. All things considered, he's been having a little bit of a hard time recently with all the bad press and everything. But he's been managing to get away with what he's been doing on that show and get a raise over the last more than ten years. I think that's pretty cool," he laughed.
